Mouthfeel and Texture

Mouthfeel refers to the overall weight of the wine in your mouth as it rolls across the palate. Red wines tend to have a  heavier mouthfeel than whites. Texture means the overall weight of the wine both in the glass as well as in the mouth. For example, the tannins in red wine can create a more robust texture whereas, white wines are more supple in texture due to lower tannins.
